X-Solutions, the distributors of Network Computing Devices (NCD) products in South Africa, has announced the release of the first Token Ring Windows Based Terminal (WBT). The ThinSTAR 300TR has been developed to support token ring connectivity.
According to X-Solutions business development manager John Cato, this is another first for NCD. "NCD was the first company to ship a Windows Based Terminal namely ThinSTAR 200 and the first and only company to ship an Intel Lean Client Windows based Terminal - the ThinSTAR 300.
ThinSTAR 300TR product includes features like 4/14Mbps auto-sensing, it has excellent replacement for aging token ring devices needing legacy and NT application access, plug and play set-up, RDP and ICA support. Furthermore, ThinSTAR 300TR is the first WBT based on Intel`s Lean Client spec and it also has Wake-on-Lan and remote management and Hi-Performance S3 graphics.
