NCR unveils self-service tech

NCR has released self-service and assisted-service technology solutions to help India's retailers meet their growing business pressures, reports India .

The solution offers a broad portfolio of assisted-service solutions for the point-of-sale (POS). The solutions include POS workstations that operate in or food service operation, bar code scanners, thermal receipt printers and other POS devices.

Navroze Dastur of NCR India says its mission is to enable the Indian general retail segment to respond faster to customer needs with solutions that enhance customer interactions, relationships and satisfaction.

Libraries benefit from self-service

The Lincoln Library has reopened with radical changes, including new self-service technologies, says Market Rasen Mail.

The technology ensures that book borrowing is quick and easy, which saves the customer's time. It further enables staff to spend more time with the customers who need help.

“This new technology is very user friendly, and feedback from other libraries in the county has shown that people find it incredibly easy to use.” says Eddy Poll, executive member for cultural services.

Self-service spend analysis released

Rosslyn Analytics has unveiled RA.Pid, a free SaaS cloud self-service spend analysis solution developed specifically for organisations that lack budget, resources or expertise but require on-demand enterprise-class applications, states Reuters.
