To combat the recent dramatic rise in Web threats, organisations need clear visibility into their users' Internet activity with real-time monitoring and detailed forensics, if they are to adequately protect themselves against these potential attacks.
To this end, Trend Micro has developed an Advanced Reporting and Management module for its InterScan Web Security solutions that provides customers with unprecedented visibility as to how the Internet is impacting their operations.
Advanced Reporting and Management (ARM) centralises the logging, reporting, configuration management and policy synchronisation across multiple InterScan Web Security servers that allows administrators, through a single console, to effectively monitor, manage, and secure their organisation's Internet gateway.
In addition, as this deployment is as a software virtual appliance, it is scalable in nature and thus, IT can continue to reduce the complexity and cost of their Web gateway security implementations.
“Dynamic dashboards and real-time activity monitors within the ARM module bring instant visibility to an organisation's security effectiveness and URL filtering policies, especially when coupled with the drill down capability that facilitates problem solving by making access to specific information quick and easy,” commented Lee Bristow, Product Manager at SecureData. “Furthermore, its high performance design allows queries across large volumes of historical data to generate reports extremely quickly, thus dramatically reducing the reporting cycle.
“Organisations have been demanding a world-class and cost-effective content filtering solution to manage the increasing level of threats emanating from the Web,” continued Bristow. “There is no doubt that Trend's InterScan Web Security virtual appliance and the ARM module more than satisfies this requirement, but also provides the visibility and scalability inherent within this requirement.
“In addition, this new module adds a granular reporting capability for Trend's large enterprise customers, thereby adding much more value to their overall purchase,” concluded Yugan Reddy, Sales Director at SecureData.
