Neotel, SA's second national operator, in conjunction with it distribution partner, Samsung Networking, has officially released the NeoFlex Voice service for SMEs and SOHO users.
The NeoFlex Voice service and solution, says Samsung Networking MD Charles Enslin, “will save SMEs and SOHO users at the least 20%, bare minimum, on telephony costs and provide greater mobility”.
“With Neotel, users only pay 34c per minute for local peak landline calls, and 17c per minute for local off-peak landline calls.”
The NeoFlex Voice solution comprises one Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) 1x device - a single Fixed Wireless Terminal (FWT) - that connects to most PBX systems, and runs on Neotel's CDMA converged network, based on EV-DO Rev A technology. It allows peak speeds of 3.1Mbps.
With Samsung Networks' OfficeServ 7400 solution providing support for traditional voice communications, as well as VOIP and IP-based data communications, the NeoFlex Voice solution could be transformed into a complete WLAN solution for small businesses.
Samsung Networking supplies and maintains the terminal equipment without the small business owner having to worry about it. For a single terminal installation, users will be charged R399 (including VAT) installation fee and then R173.10 (including VAT) per month for the service, rental and maintenance.
