Neoware integrates with WinScribe's digital dictation, workflow management software

Johannesburg, 20 Feb 2007

ITWise, the Sub-Saharan distributor for Neoware, has announced the latter's integration with WinScribe, the world-leading provider of digital dictation software, supporting business requirements for digital dictation, transcription, voice recognition and workflow management.

Neoware and WinScribe have partnered to give users the ability to implement WinScribe's digital dictation solution on Neoware thin client devices.

The mobility, flexibility and reliability of Neoware thin clients complement the digital dictation and workflow management software, providing an effective solution to organisations in a number of significant vertical markets including legal, law enforcement, healthcare, transcription, surveying, insurance and government sectors.

WinScribe is built on Microsoft architecture to ensure easy integration and maintenance. It will run on Citrix and Windows Terminal Services Edition. Furthermore, the software supports an ever-increasing range of manufacturer-independent devices such as telephones, PDAs, digital handheld portable, handheld microphones, notebooks and VOIP.

This flexibility, combined with the security and reliability of it operating on a thin client platform, enables organisations to manage their data efficiently without putting sensitive information at risk.

"This partnership means there is now an integrated solution available which is fully compatible with all Neoware thin client devices running the XPe platform," explained Peter Bolton, Neoware's Executive VP, EMEA.

"We are confident this partnership will be of great benefit to many enterprise-level customers, who may not have been aware this leading digital dictation software was able to run on our thin client devices."

"The integration of Neoware thin clients with our digital dictation software provides a solution that gives customers a significant competitive advantage," added Philip Vian, MD, WinScribe Europe.

"This partnership will enable customers to dramatically improve their workflow management processes, while operating on a secure server-based network, allowing the organisation's desktop and mobile devices to be centrally managed."
