You`ve heard of pay-as-you-go cell phone connections but what about pay-as-you-go Internet access? This new trend in connectivity is set to take South Africa by storm and independent Internet and Networking company - NetActive - is leading the way in providing this cost effective alternative to Internet connectivity.
According to Ian Greenspan, MD of Connectivity Business Unit at NetActive "As an organisation focussed on servicing the connectivity and networking needs of SMEs (small and medium enterprises), we are constantly monitoring this market`s needs and expectations. Our research has shown that a large number of SMEs prefer more leeway when it comes to running business costs such as connectivity to the Internet. A pay-as-you-go leased line certainly addresses that need and has been exceptionally well received by a number of our SME clients."
Pay-as-you-go Internet connectivity works by charging the client only for the amount of bandwidth used and is designed to encourage more businesses to come on-line. NetActive believes that this service will increase the Internet marketplace thereby creating more on-line business opportunities in the future.
Two NetActive clients utilising the pay-as-you go system are Denham Towers and CCA. According to David Hollman at CCA "Because we limit the amount we want to spend on the Internet each month, financially the system works well for us as there is a capped cost every month."
