NetActive `s Business Services division has launched an Internet access targeted at small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

"The new NetDial solution fills a niche in the business market for reliable dialup connectivity. It offers optimal support and speedier resolution of issues," says Ian Greenspan, MD of the Connectivity Business Unit at NetActive. "When a dialup service becomes an integral part of a business` daily activities any degradation in the service could result in a loss of revenue," he says.

The service includes optional value-add bundles, partially subsidised by NetActive, which include NetContact and NetDomain.

NetContact is an e-mail-to-fax and fax-to-e-mail solution, which enables each individual e-mail address to have its own dedicated fax number. The fax-to-e-mail solution is limited to 100 faxes per month, a limit that can be upgraded. An outgoing fax account can be purchased on a pay-as-you-go scheme.

NetDomain is a domain name registration service, which provides users with aliases on domain names for a more personalised interaction. The NetDomain service is provided at a discounted rate to NetDial users.

The Internet service provider considers the solution as a launch pad for the first stage in a business` entry into the Internet arena. When a business reaches the stage where it requires more advanced services, such as shared modem solutions for multiple users, leased lines and e-commerce enablement, NetActive Business Services provides the total suite.

"With other bundles soon to be included with the Internet access for business, NetDial will be the most comprehensive business-only dialup service on the market," says Greenspan.
