The last two years have seen NetActive actively pursuing Strategic acquisitions and a listing aimed at establishing the foundation for a more formidable Internet business player. NetActive is now consolidating from their rapid growth and are restructuring their business services to establish a new look Business Services Division focusing on the SME market.
NetActive`s focus on the SME market stems from the company`s belief in the huge potential and growth in this sector. In recent reports Lawrence Brick, CEO of NetActive, predicted strong growth for the company.
Understandable when one considers that Internet usage has increased dramatically over the last few years in South Africa and with over 270 000 SME`s in this country there is a large market out there for an ISP player prepared to offer high end solutions for smaller businesses. As the only major ISP effectively servicing the SME market, NetActive believes it has the products and services to help take the SME market segment into the future.
Currently the new SME Division has five separate areas that will soon be completely integrated into one system. These areas are Networking, Internet connectivity, Domain Registration & Hosting, Web design and fax over Internet.
Proof of its commitment to this integration is NetActive`s heavy investment in internal IT systems. This investment includes the formation of an integrated, centralised help desk service which according to Larry Paslovsky, Business Services Managing Director, has the sole purpose of "making it easy for companies to do business with NetActive."
Paslovsky continues "Our vision is twofold, to design and produce products to meet the networking and Internet needs of small to medium businesses and to service them via an infrastructure usually reserved for big business."
Paslovsky believes that SME`s in SA are starting to fully realise the potential and power of the Internet and that they will increasingly demand these products and services. However SME`s are often restricted by budget and manpower constraints to effectively manage their own IT systems.
To meet this need, NetActive will offer clients a complete Internet implementation and support service at a nominal monthly fee. Included in the service will be e-mail, browse facility, fax over Internet, design and hosting of a website, hardware and software support of every PC on the network and added value features such as Disaster Recovery services for mission critical servers.
The new division`s investment in a sophisticated call centre solution will ensure that the new help desk will provide high end user support for client`s calling in with simple on line support right through to on site technical support - all included in the monthly fee.
"There is currently no other major ISP in this country providing this type of service to the SME market . We don`t stop on the doorstep by simply providing connectivity, we go through the door with the SME clients, providing Internet products and Networking services tailored to make them more profitable businesses, " concludes Paslovsky.
Heading up NetActive`s new SME Division include:
