NetFlow Tracker Extends Fluke Networks' Capabilities in Enterprise Performance Management

First Fluke Networks' branded NetFlow Tracker provides detailed flow data, MPLS VPN change detection and flexible reporting for a faster, more complete view of converged networks
Everett, Washington, 18 May 2007

NetFlow Tracker 3.0 is a critical analysis tool for network managers tasked with demanding performance requirements in a converging enterprise network environment.

"This is another milestone for Fluke Networks," said Jeff Lime, Fluke Networks' Senior Vice-President of Marketing. "Combined with our concurrent announcement of new Visual UpTime products, and our existing enterprise solutions, we feel that no other company can offer the depth and breadth of solutions for enterprise performance management (EPM) that we can."

Better view of configuration changes, flow data, plus broad interoperability

NetFlow Tracker, long known for its ability to monitor all flows, all the time, now has the ability to attach a vrf/VPN value to each Tracker interface id.

This allows NetFlow Tracker to detect changes in the VPN and reconfigure itself to monitor new connections without user intervention, saving time and removing the possibility of human error.

NetFlow Tracker version 3.0 also offers significantly enhanced filtering and reporting capabilities that make it faster and easier to collect the flow data and report the results. New filtering options are simpler to use yet offer more flexibility, and permit the filters to be saved for future use. A new report editor makes it easier for the user to customise the entry page for creating dashboard executive reports.

NetFlow Tracker offers strong support for carrier applications and interfaces with many of the most important suppliers in the industry. NetFlow Tracker is a Cisco-certified solution, and Fluke Networks' Dublin office, which developed NetFlow Tracker, is a Cisco Technology Development Programme Partner.

In addition, NetFlow Tracker is a Nortel-certified Open Development Partner product (with Nortel IPFIX support), a Juniper-certified Select Solutions/Alliance Partner product and has proven interoperability with Packeteer, Expand, Enterasys, Riverbed and Huawei.

NetFlow Tracker is part of EPM

The release of NetFlow Tracker 3.0 is Fluke Networks' latest addition in the rapidly growing area of EPM, defined as the delivery of application, VOIP and network performance management in a converging enterprise network environment. Fluke Networks' Enterprise Performance Management solutions provide broad enterprise visibility, deep analysis and troubleshooting capability in an integrated system.

This allows IT organisations to maximise the value and performance of their IT infrastructure and deliver a superior end-user experience. For more information on Fluke Networks Enterprise Performance Management products and solutions, visit www.flukenetworks.com/epm.
