Server Tools, the Windows NT software specialist, has announced an updated version of the NetIQ AppManager Suite that supports the beta 3 release of the MicrosoftWindows 2000.
Besides monitoring the performance and availability of distributed Windows 2000-based systems, NetIQ AppManager Suite 3.0 also includes support for key Windows 2000-based technologies such as the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) and Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) - a key component of Microsoft`s implementation of the Web-Based Enterprise Management (WBEM) initiative.
The NetIQ AppManager Suite is a product set that enables administrators centrally to monitor the performance and availability of distributed Windows NT-based systems and server applications such as Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Internet Information Server and Citrix WinFrame.
AppManager optimises performance, provides service level reporting, ensures availability through automated problem detection and correction, and reduces support costs associated with managing and monitoring distributed Windows NT-based systems and applications. NetIQ`s customers include Microsoft and Charles Schwab. Server Tools is a subsidiary of Dimension Data.
