Web-enablement specialist and exclusive local distributor of NetManage products, Dax Data, has announced OnWeb Host Publishing for the Sun Solaris platform.
"NetManage recognises most enterprise application developers prefer to develop within the Windows environment," explains Jeremy Matthews, managing director of Dax Data. "This is primarily due to the familiarity and consistency of the tools, but they are often required to deploy their applications on Unix for scalability and reliability reasons. OnWeb Host Publishing now fully-supports this standard practice, making it much easier for developers to build and deploy on their platform of choice."
Today, the vast majority of mission-critical enterprise data remains locked in legacy systems, such as IBM mainframes, AS/400, UNIX, VT, Bull and Unisys systems as well as on major databases. OnWeb, a server-based, host integration solution, allows companies to quickly access and extend host information to customers, partners and employees in the presentation format and device of their choice.
"NetManage is committed to helping customers do more with what they have - whether it`s extending the understood value of existing host systems or uncovering new value by re-purposing those systems within new types of applications," says Matthews.
"This announcement further validates this commitment. No matter what combination of development and deployment environments are required, we will ensure our customers receive maximum value and return for their investment in the OnWeb platform."
