NetPro`s Active Directory (AD) management solutions have been released into the South African market by local solutions provider, HR Computek.

The solutions cover workflow and approval control, and active remediation, and reporting, diagnostics and repair, entitlement and provisioning of access rights and administration of tools and services.

Speaking at the product unveiling for public service decision-makers in Centurion last week, NetPro`s VP of international operations JP Jauvin said its AD management solutions can service small to medium enterprises, as well as cater for large institutions with millions of users in various locations.

The solutions can be implemented as a complete solution, or as standalone products, depending on the need, he noted.

As a Microsoft managed partner, NetPro is able to gain critical input from the software giant when developing AD solutions, it said. Albie Bester, a Microsoft product marketing manager, said research showed that by the end of 2010, at least 90% of enterprises will have Windows AD. He added that 40% of those will have third-party tools, such as those provided by NetPro, to extend the value of AD.

NetPro, in partnership with Microsoft, has formed an AD strategy group in SA. The aim of the group is to create a community around AD, to meet regularly to discuss operations and strategic and tactical issues regarding AD.

HR Computek CEO Henry Chakala said the company has an agreement with NetPro to distribute its products in the rest of Africa.
