Netscope Training, one of Microsoft`s worldwide leading Gold Certified CTECs, has been contracted by Shoprite to deliver highly specialised .Net training and skill transfer in order to meet Shoprite`s mainframe to .Net migration objectives.
"After conducting extensive technological research, Shoprite made a strategic business decision to move from a mainframe to a Microsoft .Net framework environment," says Herman Crause, Systems Development Manager for Shoprite. "Ensuring that we had the right skills provider to help us perform and implement the migration was critical."
"Netscope Training was our training partner of choice," says Wobbe Vegter, Shoprite`s Development Centre Manager, "their track record and .NET training expertise carried a huge amount of weight, when a decision on a vendor had to be made."
This was borne out by the fact that Netscope was awarded the accolade as Best CTEC Solution of The Year - Worldwide for 2002. "This clearly set Netscope apart from the rest and showed their commitment to quality in delivery on all fronts."
"A major consideration in the design of Shoprite`s training intervention plan, was to ensure just in time training flexibility and adaptability to ensure that Shoprite`s delegates not only received the prescribed training and skills transfer, but were also productive within the workplace," comments Netscope`s Business Development Manager, Lindy Love.
Shoprite has historically always invested in its staff, none more so than the transference of intellectual capital to IT staff. This is particularly evident in the high levels of competency currently experienced within its IT departments. Being an early adopter of new technologies, Netscope Training has ensured that Shoprite is always at the forefront of changes within the ever-evolving technology industry.
Netscope Training has a singular focus and plays a pivotal role in the education of emerging Microsoft technologies, largely centred around the Microsoft .Net framework. As a Microsoft Certified Technical Education Centre, Netscope is required to conform to all Microsoft requirements regarding classroom size, hardware specifications, trainer certification and use of Microsoft Official Curriculum courseware.
