NetSource - a business unit in the Ariel Technologies group - announced that its has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Siltek Distribution Dynamics (SDD) which enables NetSource to distribute the Cisco range of products to its existing customer base.
NetSource, formerly the top South African IBM NHD value-added distributor with an established customer database of approximately 500 resellers, has in the last year focused on expanding the range of products and solutions it offers its resellers.
Says Elizabeth Torrani, NetSource managing director: "We are pleased with this latest development as it is in line with IBM`s strategy to pursue total market capture together with Cisco.
"Clearly, we would like to keep our existing customer base on the right course - that is following IBM`s lead. We would like to migrate our IBM customers onto Cisco`s product and we see our role in this as facilitating and guiding our resellers, providing them with support and easing them into the Cisco product environment.
"This move is also in line with NetSource`s current strategic focus to offer a greater variety and a fuller range of products. It follows a full internal and external revamp of our organisation and we are now well-equipped to offer our resellers more."
Says Ilsa Wocke, channel account manager of Cisco: "NetSource is now a Cisco reseller with an established customer base both in South Africa and across our borders. We believe that it is well-placed to take on Cisco`s product range."
Says Ms Torrani: "We offer bundled value-added services to our resellers such as design, configuration, sourcing of product and information, installation, training, technology sessions and 24 hour seven days a week support.
"We believe that this relationship with SDD will give NetSource many new opportunities and enable us to maintain our relationship with our former-IBM resellers."
NetSource is exhibiting some of its product ranges on the Ariel Technologies stand in Hall 5 at Computer Faire, for the benefit of its resellers.
