Netsurit nominated as finalist in 4 categories at Microsoft Partner Awards

Johannesburg, 30 Jul 2008

Netsurit has once again been recognised as one of the top finalists at the 2008 Microsoft SA Partner Awards. The Sandton based IT services company was nominated in all four categories that it entered, namely:

(1) Networking infrastructure solutions competency award
(2) Small business specialist award
(3) Information worker solutions competency award
(4) Citizenship initiative award

"This is the fourth year in a row that we have been recognised as a finalist at the Microsoft SA partner awards; and the second year running that we have been nominated in all the categories entered. Our relationship with Microsoft continues to yield genuine business value for us, and we are very proud to be nominated as one Microsoft's top partners in the country." said Orrin Klopper, MD of Netsurit.

The Microsoft partner programme awards recognises partners that have excelled in delivering Microsoft solutions over the past year. The award winners will be announced at the Microsoft partner programme awards 2008 gala dinner at the International Conference Centre in Durban on 7 August 2008.

Netsurit is the largest managed IT services provider for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in South Africa. The company's head office is based in Sandton, Johannesburg with a branch in Cape Town. The company is a Microsoft Gold certified partner as well as Microsoft's largest small business specialist partner in the country. Netsurit endorses the outsourcing principle as the most logical option for SMEs looking to optimise their IT investment. Making a decision to outsource the day-to-day, on-line monitoring and management of the network can dramatically reduce SME staff costs, and this reduction in cost translates to an ongoing management benefit.

Recurring SME IT concerns include how to measure the return on IT investment; analysing and understanding control of costs; understanding what benefit technology can add to their business and attracting and maintaining skilled consultants necessary to run a network.

Historically, the technology needs of SMEs have been sorely neglected - often as a result of a poor understanding of what small businesses require from their technology network. We have a single-minded obsession to understand the unique needs of our clients and to develop programmes that help them to meet their own strategic objectives. Technology has a special ability to unlock true value for SMEs who know how to use it.

Over the years, Netsurit has been widely recognised for its service excellence and innovation, both locally and on the international stage.

The 2008 SA partner awards nominations follow on from Netsurit's win at the 2007 worldwide partner conference when the company walked away with the World Partner of the Year award (competing to Win: Linux/LAMP). In 2006 Netsurit was the first South African company ever to win Microsoft's World Sales & Marketing Partner of the Year for Networking Infrastructure Solutions.

Netsurit is a BEE company with a Level 4 rating.
