Johannesburg, 15 Jul 2007

Today, Netsurit proudly announced it has won Microsoft's World Partner of the Year Award for Competing to Win: Linux/LAMP at the 2007 Worldwide Partner Program Awards. The company was chosen out of an international field of top Microsoft Partners delivering market-leading customer solutions built on Microsoft technology. The awards were distributed at the awards ceremony on July 11 in Denver, CO at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference.

"This is Netsurit's second World Partner of the Year award in successive years. Last year we won Microsoft's World Sales and Marketing Partner of the Year for Networking Infrastructure Solutions. We are very proud to be seen as one Microsoft's top partners worldwide. This year we have also seen our software sales grow by almost 550%, which shows that our active participation in Microsoft's partner programme has produced significant benefits for the company," said Orrin Klopper, managing director of Netsurit.

Awards were presented in a number of categories, with winners chosen from a pool of more than 1,800 entrants worldwide. Netsurit was recognised for superior technology and innovation in competing to Win: Linux/LAMP. The Competing to Win Partner of the Year: Linux/LAMP award recognises partners who have won customers on the Windows Server or desktop platform where Linux/LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP/PERL/Python and similar open source web platform stack) alternatives were a consideration or a prior deployment. Solution categories include: HPC, File and Print, Networking, Web server, messaging/e-mail solutions, Business Apps and others. The winning partner's solution may have helped its customer better manage their business, reduce TCO, increase productivity, while securing an important market on the Microsoft platform.

"Netsurit's winning solution was one of the largest software deals between a Microsoft Small Business Specialist and a client in South Africa in the past year. The solution implementation provided positive total cost of ownership result, making the Microsoft solution their leading candidate," said Robert Deshaies, VP, U.S. Partner Group, Microsoft Corp.

The Microsoft Partner Program Awards recognise Microsoft Partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions over the last year.
