Network Platforms announces DrayTek Vigor3200 series

Johannesburg, 31 Oct 2011

Network Platforms, the sub-Saharan distributor for DrayTek, today announced the Vigor3200 series, its latest multi-WAN router solutions for business.

DrayTek's Vigor3200 series, including the Vigor3200 and the Vigor3200n with Gigabit WAN (4-port) / LAN (1-port) interfaces, offers small businesses the capability to subscribe multiple low-cost but fast-speed Internet feeds to get the desired speed and bandwidth for their operations, and have the same powerful firewall/CSM feature for business security and load-balancing and fail-over for business continuity as the previous Vigor2920 series.

“Vigor3200 series' multi-WAN interface meets SOHO/small businesses' Internet connection needs, as migrating to cloud computing platforms for mission-critical applications,” commented Bradley Love, Managing Director of Network Platforms, “by adding multiple low-cost but fast Internet feeds, instead of adopting leased lines. Moreover, Vigor3200 series support multi-subnet feature, which is capable to assign different VLAN tags with various priority setting to different subnets, in order to better allocation of network resources and prevent inappropriate intercommunication between workgroups or separate users/services (applications) between subscribers.

“In addition, remote workers can choose SSL VPN methodology while connecting back to corporate databases to provide instant feedbacks for customer requests through the general Web browsers,” continued Love. “Moreover, the flexibility for road warriors to have the ability to choose the appropriate mobile device, ie, notebook, tablet or smartphone, because they do not have to worry about the compatibility issue of VPN utility installation on the client side, is a bonus. With the ability to use the mobile device that best fits any required situation should enable users to maximise productivity.

“On the other hand, the Vigor3200 series can help administrators to establish an even more reliable and efficient VPN connection between HQ and remote sites through VPN Backup and Load Balance (VPN Trunking) feature,” concluded Love.
