Richmond Inventory Manager has been designed to collate and translate individual elements of data that have been generated by third-party applications, such as NetOp Remote Control.
The Inventory Manager also provides PC diagnostic and discovery data. Easy to use, it has the ability to analyse data in a way that is both meaningful and user-friendly and is packaged with a range of standard templates, which can be used to produce detailed management reports.
Users can make detailed comparisons with previous inventory scans allowing them to see exactly what aspects of a PC`s configuration have changed - a must for any serious technical support department wishing to diagnose PC hardware/software related problems without having to leave their desk.
The Richmond Inventory Manager offers a wide range of advanced and user-friendly features, designed to help users get the most from the product with minimum time and effort.
Automatic collection of inventory data
The Inventory Manager automatically gathers your inventory data without the need to manually import it. The data is then stored using Microsoft SQL Server or MSDE. Over time, a comprehensive history of each PC`s inventory is constructed allowing users to interrogate past configurations with ease.
Scheduled inventory scans
Users can schedule inventory scans to execute at specified intervals.
Compare inventory scans
Diagnosing problems involving a PC`s configuration can be a long and frustrating task. The Inventory Manager allows users to compare inventory scans for any PC. Differences between the two scans are then marked for the user`s attention. The result is a faster diagnosis and resolution to hardware/software related issues.
Management reports
The Inventory Manager is packaged with a wide range of standard templates that allow users to produce detailed management reports for analysis. These reports include hardware and software summaries, operating systems and licensed software reports. As well as this, users can create their own reports by using a copy of Seagate Crystal Reports v9.
