As part of an ongoing commitment to assist local schools and NGOs to further develop their support structures, Networks Unlimited has donated NetOp School licences to Bezaleel home for HIV/AIDS children, situated in Springs.
One of the key objectives of Bezaleel is to provide education for the children in care. By using NetOp School`s teaching software, children can now get hands-on experience and teachers can more efficiently demonstrate their teaching materials.
NetOp School 3.0 makes it easier for teachers to control student interactions with resources and effectively monitor their progress. The programme is extremely user-friendly and packed with scores of features to aid teachers instruct, monitor and assist students on their PCs.
"Bezaleel was identified and selected for this donation due to their unwavering commitment to provide refuge and education to children whose lives have been affected by HIV/AIDS, the epidemic that will see nearly three million maternal orphans, aged younger than 18 by 2015," says Ighsaan Akoojee, Product Manager for NetOp School at Networks Unlimited.
Networks Unlimited`s corporate responsibility programme targets a number of organisations, and therefore assists the underprivileged, which includes TM Ndanda and Chapel Street Primary Schools.
During Networks Unlimited`s 10-year anniversary weekend, dancers from TM Ndanda Primary School in Mossel Bay entertained the guests with traditional dances at the evening gala event, in an effort to raise donations. The donation received from Networks Unlimited will go a long way in helping the school to eventually purchase a much needed school bus.
Akoojee adds: "Chapel Street is my old primary school and I felt it important to contribute to the re-development and growth of the school and the area of District Six in general."
