NetXactics has added Shavlik's on-premise and cloud-based management solutions to its portfolio.

As the exclusive distributor for Shavlik, the company will supply and support the complete range of centralised patch, asset and power management solutions throughout Africa.

Brett Myroff, CEO of NetXactics, says Shavlik offers the African market a cost-effective way to simplify the complexity of IT management and so makes sophisticated security capabilities available to organisations of all sizes.

He adds that Shavlik's software and "value in minutes" approach has gained a significant following in the SME market.

"Shavlik is dedicated to significantly reducing the time to value for IT. Its solutions allow customers to manage physical and virtual machines, deploy software, manage assets, simplify configuration and ensure complete endpoint security," says Myroff. "As a global leader in patch management, Shavlik further ties in with our strategy to expand our portfolio of best-of-breed security products."

Shavlik intends to develop a stronger distributed market base and bring its solutions closer to all African organisations. "We are partnering with NetXactics because of their extensive experience as a value-added technology distributor, as well as the company's ability to support and execute throughout Africa," says Morten Gammelgard, EMEA sales manger at Shavlik.

"With a broad network of and services throughout the region, NetXactics will help us establish broader market credibility, and serve businesses, government and public sector organisations in sub-Saharan Africa," he concludes.
