NetXactics to expand Sophos channel network

Master Sophos distributor, NetXactics, has announced a limited opportunity for qualifying resellers to join its partner programme.

Sophos is a leading international security vendor noted for its proven solution offering, a quicker response time to major virus outbreaks, combined virus, spyware and spam analysis via the global network of SophosLabs and 24/7 support.

The new partner initiative will offer authorised resellers the ability to increase their turnover and commission made year-on-year by selling Sophos. A unique revenue model ensures commission structures off the full cost of new, as well as renewal licences.

"Sophos's software licences are sold on a subscription basis, which means ongoing revenue, every year for resellers who commit to building long-term relationships with NetXactics and Sophos, as well as their customers," explains Cornel Swart, chief operating officer at NetXactics.

Sophos is designed for business networks, with a full complement of software and hardware-based security solutions for both enterprise and small business environment. Swart adds that the 'business only' approach makes Sophos an attractive channel product.

"All Sophos products are designed with the network in mind, ensuring, for example, low bandwidth utilisation through the efficiency of small malware updates and a single, simplified management console. Sophos does not split its R&D between single and business users, resulting in a complete commitment to businesses across the world.

"Most enterprise environments have a mix of operating systems on the network. In terms of their security software, this can mean having to purchase additional licences when introducing a Linux machine on a Windows network, for example. Sophos runs effortlessly on all operating systems under a single licence," Swart says.

The partner programme will offer three participation levels, including Entry, Preferred and Full Partner status. Sophos education is available online for resellers to meet the certification requirements for each level. Revenue structures become more attractive as resellers progress, and they can also qualify for lead handouts and the Sophos reward programme.

"Through NetXactics, partners will receive ongoing education on the Sophos product set via its Web site, e-mail notifications and ongoing onsite sales and technical training," says Swart.

"We are also making it very easy for resellers to convince their clients of the Sophos value proposition, which includes all upgrades for the duration of the licence, expert 24/7 telephonic support, proactive services such as product updates and renewal support as well as advanced notification of upcoming client licence expiry," he concludes.
