Duxbury Networking has unveiled its latest Universal Serial Bus (USB) modem, the new HSUPA-382X, offering high-speed access to the Internet.
Doubling as a 16Gb memory stick, it has the capability to make and receive calls, SMS and access the Internet simultaneously.
The modem incorporates new, fast HSUPA and HSDPA technologies, enabling download speeds of up to 7.2Mbps and an upload capability of 5.7Mbps. It operates on the UMTS/HSDPA 2100, GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900/ 2100Mhz networks.
The device boasts a 90-degree hinge to accommodate both horizontal and vertical USB ports and is said to provide an ideal fit for virtually any laptop or desktop PC.
The HSUPA-382X retails at R1 199 (including VAT).
