Govender has worked in the short-term insurance industry for the past 15 years for companies like Commercial Union Ins Co, Glenrand MIB Brokers, Nedbank Ins Brokers and Absa Insurance Co.
Most of his career has been in sales, in positions like account executive, marketing manager, regional sales manager and then national sales and marketing manager for Absa Insurance Company.
He has a qualification as an "Associate of the Insurance Institute of SA".
