BMC Software, distributed in South Africa by Advanced Software Technologies Limited (AST), recently introduced a new product that offers Oracle customers the full power and benefit of BMC`s Application Service Assurance (ASA) philosophy and integrated solutions that ensure optimum application availability, performance and recovery.
This new solution assures Oracle customers of the reliable availability of their Oracle environments through intuitive, automated problem resolution and built-in database expertise. The PATROL Availability Suite for Oracle will decrease the training time needed to run and maintain Oracle databases by providing intuitive problem resolution and built-in monitoring capabilities.
BMC`s ASA Solution for Oracle, integrates Oracle monitoring, provided by the PATROL Knowledge Module for Oracle, with the PATROL database utilities that resolve common problems such as space management, database reorganisation, and database integrity checking. This allows database administrators to spend less time performing routine maintenance.

The PATROL Availability Suite allows IT organisations to take control of their Oracle environment.
