Business Objects` local subsidiary has appointed Gary Broomberg as its new country manager.
He replaces Gary Lawrence, who earlier this year left Business Objects to become country manager at Computer Associates.
Prior to joining Business Objects, Broomberg was sales director at Novell Africa.
He has also held posts at Frasers International and Spar, as well as several positions in the IT sector.
Business Objects says Broomberg, who joined Novell in 2002, is set to take up his new post at the start of July, although he will be overseas for the first few days of his tenure.
Business Objects is a business intelligence software company with more than 24 000 customers in 80 countries.
