New boss for CI division

Moira Moses has been appointed MD of Control Instruments Automotive, a subsidiary of JSE-listed Control Instruments (CI).

She replaces Roy Hollins, who resigned recently.

Moses, who takes the post with immediate effect, was previously MD of Premier Automotive Group, the luxury division of Ford Motor Company. She is also on the board of Transnet and was appointed a non-executive director at MTN Group in November.

She was a finalist in 2001 for the Businesswoman of the Year award, which is administered by the Businesswomen`s Association.

CI Automotive sells and distributes a broad range of automotive electronics, including onboard computers, tachographs and automotive instrumentation.

Among other products, it also has the sole distribution rights for Siemens VDO Automotive brands in SA and sub-Saharan Africa.

Control Instruments is an electronics group whose subsidiaries` products are aimed at niche segments of the international original equipment manufacture motor industry as well as vehicle and fleet management markets.

At this morning`s share price of 360c, which was down 5c on yesterday`s close, Control Instruments has a market capitalisation of R303.37 million.
