New chapter for Cisco

Cisco announced a pair of additions to its Admission Control (NAC) product that broadens its scope and power for businesses around the world, reports CNNMoney.

This is headlined by it's incorporation into the company's widely adopted Cisco Integrated Services Router (ISR).

The Cisco NAC Network Module for ISRs introduces a sophisticated modular solution that is completely integrated into the network infrastructure.

Wireless networking tested

Agilent Technologies has introduced a networking test set and OFDMA measurement application software, according to Business Wire.

Engineers are constantly faced with time-to-market pressures. They must get their products to market ahead of the competition and, at the same time, they must protect profit potential and ensure the shortest possible test times.

Agilent's new N8300A one-box parametric WiMax test set provides a solution to address these challenges. The associated Agilent N6301A Measurement Application ensures fast and accurate measurement analysis of mobile WiMax signals.

AT&T eyes Middle East

AT&T is expanding its network reach and building a stronger presence in the Middle East, according to Forbes.com.

In a statement, the company said its network node being deployed in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with Saudi Telecommunications and NavLink, in which AT&T holds a minority stake, is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2007.

AT&T will further enhance its reach in the Gulf with a new global network node in Kuwait, working with QualityNet, a provider data networking services.
