The latest software release for the ColorWave 600 achieves Oc'e's next milestone in the continued development and improvement of the wide format colour printer.
Oc'e South Africa's Jaco Smit says: “The release of 1.2 is truly a significant next step in the ColorWave 600 development program. It not only eliminates spool time when reprinting documents, it also eliminates unwanted prints, saving our customers both time and money.”
The new functionality is all due to the Smart Inbox feature that facilitates the reprinting of jobs, offers multiple templates and a visible print queue. The ColorWave 600 is the world's first wide format printing system to feature an inbox that allows the user to organise and access print jobs remotely. Once a print job is in the Smart Inbox, the user can view the job information, delete jobs, edit the setting of a print job or simply print the job.
The Oc'e ColorWave 600 is the world's first colour toner wide format printer using Oc'e CrystalPoint technology. This unique technology uses TonerPearls for high quality prints on plain and recycled paper at a high print speed of up to 31 seconds per A0. The ColorWave 600 prints colour and black-and-white with excellent results from CAD up to full colour posters.
At Print Expo 2009, Oc'e will demonstrate the ColorWave 600's ability to print signature proofs for the book publishing industry, producing real-size proofs that are user friendly and easy to read.
