Fibreplus, a supplier of fibre optic cables and accessories, has announced the release of new coloured "pigtails" from its principal R&M for a range of applications.
R&M (Reichle & De-Massari AG) based in Zurich-Wetzikon, Switzerland, is an international telecommunications company producing market connecting hardware and complementary accessories for WAN and LAN environments.
"These pigtails - or prefabricated fibre optic pieces onto which a fibre optic plug is spliced in the factory - ensure safe and fast splicing," according to Len Ray, technical director at Fibreplus.
He advises they are available for the following applications (single mode for lSH and SC connectors):
