Minolta South Africa has introduced the Konica Minolta magicolor 2430DL, a compact and powerful workgroup colour printer that is direct photo-print ready and prints five pages per minute (ppm) in colour and 20ppm in monochrome.
Minolta SA colour division product manager, Marianna Gdanis, says the magicolor 2430DL fits easily onto an office desk and can be shared with a small office workgroup to print professional documents.
"This is the first device to offer small workgroups direct photo-print, which means users can print photographs without the use of a computer by simply connecting any PictBridge-compliant digital camera.
"Users simply connect a PictBridge-compliant digital camera to the printer by USB, display the photograph to be printed on the camera and click print from the menu on the digital camera. It is as simple as that," says Gdanis.
Combined with its fast print speeds, the magicolor 2430DL completes the page processing on the host computer, which assures users of quick prints. Together with the standard 10/100BaseTX Ethernet card that integrates into any network (Windows, Mac and Linux) and USB 2.0, the machine is undoubtedly one of the fastest compact workgroup printers on the market.
Polymerised toner guarantees 2 400dpi resolution prints and advanced laser technology results in sharp text and vivid colours.
The magicolor 2430DL can be equipped with a lower feeder to increase paper capacity from the standard 200 sheets to 700 and extra memory to enhance direct photo print performance and functionality. An automatic duplexer will allow users to produce double-sided prints and reduce costs.
