Bidvest Group company, Minolta South Africa has launched the Konica Minolta bizhub C300, a multifunctional communication centre that offers high quality monochrome and colour printing, copying, scanning and faxing at 30 pages per minute. Its superior finishing options mean that it cannot be equalled by a desktop device.

Minolta SA colour division manager, Marianna Gdanis, says the bizhub C300 is suitable for low to mid-volume printing environments. "It`s ideal for offices where space is an issue, yet its unique embedded finisher means that it offers all the functions of a larger system," she says.

The bizhub C300 can switch easily between monochrome and colour printing via an auto-colour recognition system. With a scan speed of up to 65 originals per minute in black and white and 50 originals in colour, as well as the ability to scan double sided, the device outperforms every desktop scanner.

Additional features include up to 1 200-sheet capacity in the output, with copying and printing into media up to 256G/m^2 even duplex. It supports auto paper size selection and auto paper tray switching. The bizhub C300 can scan documents in a choice of formats including Compact PDF, Encrypted PDF, JPEG and TIFF and offers 1024MB memory and 40GB hard disc drive as standard features.

Gdanis says the bizhub C300 delivers space as well as cost savings without compromising performance or quality. "The device`s high quality output and reliability means that small offices can do away with individual desktop printers, scanners and faxes, freeing up space on desks and around workstations. In addition, it offers more functionality to the user," she says.
