Driving the local adoption of MP3 advancements, Transcend Information and Rectron have introduced the ultra-compact JetFlash MP3, featuring a new futuristic design with penti-directional joystick, to South African consumers.
Weighing only 25 grams (without batteries), the JetFlash MP3 supports hi-speed USB 2.0 connections with a read and write speed of up to 3.2 and 2.8MBps respectively, and is available in capacities of 128MB, 256MB, 512MB and 1GB.
Also, the new Transcend MP3 not only features a USB Flash Drive but an AB repeater, voice recorder and an FM radio.
Explains Reon Coetzee, marketing manager of official Transcend distributor, Rectron: "Using the JetFlash MP3`s AB repeat function you can continuously replay a designed section of a track - this can be valuable for learning languages, for example."
Other Transcend JetFlash MP3 functions include:
* True plug and play;
* MP3 function - support for MP3/WMA format;
* Voice recording - WAV format supported;
* FM Tuner Function -10 programmable channels supported;
* Up to 14 hours of MP3 playing with one battery;
* Up to 27 hours of voice recording with 512MB memory and sufficient power;
* Driverless (only Windows 98SE needs the enclosed driver); and
