Magda Engelbrecht has been appointed country manager for Nortel South Africa. She has 20 years` experience in the IT industry holding various positions in sales and account management in companies such as Control Data, Datakor Network Technologies (Unidata) and Dimension Data. She also worked for global organisations such as Intel, EDS and Mercury.
Engelbrecht joined Intel as architecture manager, at EDS she held the positions of sales manager and delivery executive responsible for large outsource contracts and outsource operations. She held the position of country manager for Mercury in South Africa.
At arivia.kom she was the managing executive responsible for the Outsource Division before joining Nortel. In addition to holding a business diploma, she completed a series of courses, both locally and internationally, covering strategic and financial management, sales, marketing and IT infrastructure.
