Local Creative distributor, Sahara Computers, has announced availability of the new Creative Video Blaster WebCam - a USB device which is compact, light, well-styled and an ideal companion for the PC or notebook user.
Developed to meet the needs of a growing entry-level market, the product is easy to use and offers video capture and still imaging capabilities, with a handy 'Snapshot' button to make one-touch still imaging a reality. The snapshot button allows users to 'grab' an image and display it onscreen at any time.
Built around an advanced 352x288 CMOS sensor, the WebCam can work effectively at low light levels, with automatic exposure control and white balance to ensure a perfect picture. Video resolution ranges from 160x120 to 352x288 pixels at up to 30 fps, with still images at 352x288 pixels.
Says Ross Jardien, sales manager for Sahara Computers: "The new model offers users all the power they need to capture, create and communicate in full-colour, full-motion video directly from their PCs. User-friendly drivers, utilities and third-party software ensure that it is simple to operate and fast. It offers added features for camera adjustments, video capture, editing, as well as storage and retrieval."
With Video Blaster users can send video e-mail or create colourful e-postcards, adds Jardien. "WebCam PhotoEditor gives you a whole toy chest of options to edit your digital snapshots and prepare impressive greeting templates. Alternatively use our bundled PixMaker software to create 360-degree interactive scenes, e-cards or Web pages."
