Dell has today launched in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) its new projector that is both small and has high quality performance, making it ideal for mobile workers. The price - R13,110 including VAT and delivery - also makes it perfect for small business and home use, for example to watch DVDs or project video games.
"This new projector is what we call a cross-over product. It is relevant for business people who travel because it is small and light, and it is relevant for small business and home use because of its great value. Despite being small, it has high performance, meaning it can be used to project presentations, films and computer games," said Ben McDonald, Client Product Manager at Dell South Africa.
The 2200MP projector uses the latest Digital Light Processing (DLP(tm)) DDR[1] <outbind://35/#_edn1> projection technology to generate high resolution images at a 1700:1 contrast ratio with a maximum brightness of 1200 ANSI lumens[2] <outbind://35/#_edn2> for crisp video and graphics. For true plug-and-play operation, an auto-sync feature adjusts the output resolution to match that of the input device up to SXGA+ (1400x1050).
At 2.1kg, the projector weighs less than many notebook computers but still provides advanced features such as motion-adaptive hardware de-interlacing - which digitally smoothes out pixilated images, a power-saving auto shutdown mode preset and user-programmable video modes for easy custom-configuration.
Accessories that ship standard with each 2200MP projector include a sturdy, hard foam carrying case; video cables including S-Video, composite video, component video/HDTV, audio, VGA and USB; a quick start guide; and a remote control. Also standard is a 1-year warranty[3] <outbind://35/#_edn3> and Whole Unit Exchange Service[4] <outbind://35/#_edn4> .
