New design, imaging and digital printing facility launched

Johannesburg, 11 Sep 1998

South Africa`s first full-service graphic design, imaging and digital printing facility, the Graphic Mart concept store, is equipped with the most technologically advanced equipment, including Pentium PCs and Apple Macs, Minolta colour laser printers and copiers, and Océ large size plotters and digital printers - all driven by the latest available range of software products and high-tech RIPS.

Situated at Village Walk, Sandton, Graphic Mart is based on the `you conceive it, we`ll produce it` philosophy, and provides complete computer desktop publishing facilities, including hardware, software and full colour laser printers and copiers, and is open to the public daily until 21h00.

According to Graphic Mart`s Raymond Chazan, the facility follows worldwide trends which have seen the concept establish itself as a valuable service to advertising, graphic design, and small-office-home-office - or SOHO - industries. The store will also serve corporate companies looking for affordable and value-added services.

"Graphic Mart offers more than just a facility to make copies. In sharp contrast to traditional copy shops, Graphic Mart is situated in a high-tech, user-friendly environment which offers the customer a solution and a `shoppertainment` experience. We also offer safe parking and stay open until late for customer convenience," says Chazan.

Graphic Mart serves as a vital facility for any overflow or after hours work in the advertising and design market that may need to be conceptualised or implemented. In much the same way, those in the burgeoning SOHO market can call on Graphic Mart for expertise across the creative process, from conceptualisation of an idea, through implementation and delivery.

Graphic Mart offers customers solutions and services tailor-made to their exacting requirements. Interested parties can either come into the Graphic Mart store to use the technology available, or they can brief Graphic Mart`s consultants who will visit them with on-line portable technology that can access the facility from the client`s desktop.

The consultants can later install dedicated modems which enable the client to access the facility at will, or they can download their orders direct to the store via dedicated ISDN lines or e-mail. Customers can either arrange to collect the finished product a few hours later, or it can be delivered free of charge to their homes or businesses within a 20 kilometre radius of Graphic Mart.

"Whatever the requirement, from advertising campaigns and annual reports, through banners, brochures and business stationery, to newsletters, presentations and signage, as well a specialised range of consumable products, our mind-blowing technology and staff of lateral thinkers will reproduce just what you need, in full digital colour, and at a price that`s highly competitive, " says Chazan.
