Tarsus Technologies has announced the arrival of the HP Compaq DX6120 and DC7600 desktop PCs, loaded with the latest desktop technologies for the business professional right through to the hi-tech gamers.
Says Jason McMillan, HP business product manager at Tarsus Technologies: "The HP Compaq DC7600 Business Desktop PC is available in multiple form factors, offering users a choice of three chassis configurations as well as a range of security features and manageability tools that make it a breeze to deploy in any IT environment. The versatility of these systems is further enhanced with a choice of four operating systems: Windows XP Home, Windows XP Professional, Suse Linux or FreeDOS."
The DC7600 will also support the 2006 release of Microsoft Windows Vista (formerly codenamed Longhorn), which will fully utilise the dual-core Intel EM64 CPU technology included with this unit, enabling next-generation processing speed.
"Stability and reliability have also been maximised with the provision of customised thermal designs for each chassis that enhance productivity and minimise system down time," he says.
"The DX6120 is, on the other hand, aimed at SMB users," adds McMillan.
"This PC has one chassis option and a choice of three operating systems (XP Home, XP Professional or SuSe Linux), focusing on the preferences of SMB users who utilise their systems mostly for office, online activities and multimedia. To this end, the DX6120 offers onboard Digital AC97 sound, Intel`s Graphics Media Accelerator 900 and features basic serviceability with tool-less covers and drives designed for quick and easy upgrades or service."
The DX6120 and the DC7600 both provide high-speed DDR2 memory capabilities, Serial ATA hard drive interfaces as well as integrated Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet adapters, ready to connect to any network at the fastest speeds available today.
"With the DDR2 memory standard, RAM access is made possible at maximum speeds," says McMillan. "For both gamers and business consumer this means super-fast and ultra-smooth computing as well as enhanced multitasking performance. Both the DX6120 and DC7600 provide colour-coded DDR2 memory slots with capacities of up to 4GB of RAM."
Processor solutions supported cover Intel`s range of Celeron D or Pentium 4 processors with the Intel 915G chipset on the DX6120 or the Intel 945G chipset on the DC7600.
Versatility, reliability and ease of use make the DX6120 and DC7600 obvious choices for home or business users looking for solutions offering the latest desktop standards and the flexibility to comfortably meet the requirements of their destination environments.
"With the backing of the HP brand, customers can rest assured they are using a solution built by one of the most established leaders in the desktop PC arena," McMillan concludes.
The DX6120 and DC7600 retails from R5 699 and R6 499 respectively, including VAT.
