Sabinet Online Ltd and TradeWorld have signed an agreement, which allows Sabinet to expand the scope of its current online tender database, namely SA Tenders. Vanessa du Plessis, a product management director at Sabinet, says that through this agreement the total number of active tender advertisements available in the SA Tenders service is expected to triple.
TradeWorld will supply Sabinet with all formal tender advertisements, published either in hard copy, on the Internet, or received directly by TradeWorld.
More African tenders will now be available, including business opportunities from Botswana, Dubai, Egypt, Namibia, Rwanda, Uganda and Zambia. Locally, tenders are sourced from a greater variety of publications (more than 140 daily, weekly and monthly newspapers, government gazettes and tender bulletins from across the country).
This agreement will enable Sabinet to offer a more extensive service to its current tender subscribers as well as ensuring continued high quality. It will also allow TradeWorld to present its tenders database on two platforms. The Sabinet platform provides easy access to the tender advertisements while the TradeWorld platform includes a sophisticated procurement system.
With a sound history of 22 years in the information industry, Sabinet is firmly established as a leader in facilitating electronic access to information. Sabinet is one of a limited number of companies in this industry with a long track record of experience and effectiveness in addressing the diverse needs of a large and continually growing client base, spanning the corporate, academic and government markets.
