Internet Solutions (IS) CEO, Angus MacRobert, today announced the new executive appointments.
Greg Payne, previously IS Client Services Executive becomes the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of IS, after separating the Operational and Networking functions.
This is as a result of Johann Pretorius leaving for a new business appointment. Payne is responsible for Client Services and will report directly to MacRobert. "Greg also becomes a Divisional Director of IS," says MacRobert, "and we welcome his further contribution to the business."
Prenesh Padayachee remains as the Chief Technology Officer of IS, looking after the Networking, Infrastructure, Utilities and Network Systems of IS. Prenesh also becomes a Divisional Director of IS.
Tony Walt, previously Sales Director at IS, takes on the role of Chief Customer Officer (CCO). MacRobert said: "As a result of our rapid growth over the last few years, we feel that it is imperative that a senior director of IS has both external and internal customer facing responsibilities. Tony will therefore look after sales, service management, escalations and IT of IS."
Hillel Shrock, previously New Business Development Director replaces Ermano Quartero as the Business Solutions Director of IS. MacRobert said: "After many years of service, Ermano moves on to a new opportunity. Hillel has been with IS for 10 years now, and knows our business and strategy inside out. He will make a significant contribution to the operation with all our Business Units reporting to him."
Siyabonga Madyibi has been appointed to the IS Divisional Board, looking after the regulatory affairs of IS. Madyibi has been with IS for over two years, and in a short time, has made a significant mark on our business.
Tony Koutakis becomes the new Sales Director of IS, having spent many years as a Sales Manager, and recently performing the role of Service Management Executive.
Commenting on business succession and continuity for the company, and its future growth, MacRobert said IS is in a strong position. "We are aware we operate in an extremely competitive environment where experience and skills are often scarce.
"IS has always been fortunate in that our culture, employee benefits and working conditions are rated highly in our sector and we have shown this in the retention of our staff. Unlike other ICT companies, IS has many key people who have significant long service with us and have clearly-stated career paths within the company."
"The current movement of senior people to other newer players is also indicative of how the industry continues to challenge us all," he continued. "What it creates is further career opportunities all round, as well as opening up room for internal and individual advancement. It has long been our policy to appoint from within where possible, and in this case these changes at the executive level have created several changes in our senior management structure - thus giving some of our up-and-coming stars the opportunity to make their mark," MacRobert said. These additional changes will be communicated shortly, but should be viewed as existing senior staff with changed roles, and promotions from within the ranks at IS.
Concluding, MacRobert said this new operational structure is in line with continuing growth plans and the company's focus on customer-centric service delivery. "I believe this team will help fast-track our continued movement towards offering full converged communication solutions to our customers as deregulation takes place," he said.
