MasterCard Southern Africa has appointed Bernadine Th"ole as director of security and risk management for the region.
Th"ole will be responsible for providing expert testimony for the judicial authority, developing and managing industry best practices on fraud prevention, and managing fraud awareness training for MasterCard`s member financial institutions, vendors and suppliers.
Th"ole has over 10 years` experience in the legal, banking and security sectors. Prior to her appointment at MasterCard Southern Africa, she held the position of client services manager at Retail Decisions SA, where she was responsible for fraud and risk management for South African banks.
She has also held senior positions at 20Twenty, a division of Standard Chartered Bank, Cliffe Dekker, Absa Bank, Blakes and Heynike & Strydom.
