The company yesterday told shareholders Pieter Nicolaas would take up the position from the beginning of this month. He replaced Redik du Toit, who was appointed acting CFO on 1 October last year.
Nicolaas is a qualified CA and previously worked at Fima Films SA as CFO, between July 2001 and September 2009, before being appointed CFO.
In November last year, the company said its FD, Jacques de Villiers, had been promoted to CFO in October as Chris Kruger, executive chairman and CEO, was scaling down his workload for health reasons.
At the time, Kruger said De Villiers, who had been with the company since it listed towards the end of 2006, is “the right person to take AC Towers forward with the support of the strong and restructured management team”.
De Villiers was appointed FD on 6 October 2006 and is a qualified CA. He fulfilled the dual roles of CFO and FD, assisted by Du Toit, until Nicolaas' appointment.
