New Generation Solutions ships LG

Johannesburg, 31 May 2000

IT Infrastructure management and solutions provider, New Generation Solutions, has negotiated a distribution agreement with LG channel distributor, Bethesa Computers, that will see the company extend its portfolio to include LG Electronics` CDT, Flatron and Plasma monitors, CD-ROMs, DVD-ROMS, MP3 players and LG PCs.

According to Deon Botha, account manager: IT products at LG Electronics SA, with the addition of New Generation Solutions via Bethesa Computers as a distribution partner, LG has effectively boosted its local presence to deliver world-class products and support to the market.

Gerhard Coetzer, IT consultant at New Generation Solutions, admits to being impressed by the business and growth plans presented to him by Bethesda Computers and LG Electronics SA. "It is refreshing to see such a high level of commitment to brand building from a distributor and vendor - particularly in a market where vendors are typically expected to go it alone in this respect," he comments.

Coetzer believes the addition of LG monitors to New Generation Solutions` product portfolio allows it to offer the consumer monitors from low-cost 14-inch models to the professional 21-inch variety.

"With the growing concern over ergonomics in the workplace, the trend in the corporate market is to specify that branded monitors be supplied with new PCs. And in South Africa the brand is more often than not LG," adds Coetzer.
