MWEB has appointed Debbie Pretorius as General Manager of MWEB Business.
Debbie Pretorius has worked in the Internet service provider (ISP) industry for the past 15 years. Most recently, she headed up MWEB Business' operational activities, and was responsible for customer support and engineering and technical services, as well as project management, service level management and operational support services.
"We are extremely fortunate to have a person with Debbie's experience and expertise in providing solutions to the Small and Medium Businesses of South Africa heading up our Business division," said MWEB CEO, Derek Hershaw.
"Having joined MWEB Business as a financial controller in 1998, Debbie has played a significant role in the division's growth over the years. Her intimate understanding of all aspects of the business and the broader market will ensure continuity for our customers.
"At the same time, she will be leading the company into a new era of development and we look forward to supporting her in these endeavours."
Commenting on her appointment, Pretorius said she was grateful for the confidence and support of MWEB management.
