New graphics card line available from AXiZ

In order to fill a gap in the market left by the discontinuance of the Diamond range of graphics cards, AXiZ has announced that it will be supplying the CARDEXpert range of graphics products from Taiwan-based Gainward.

"Gainward is one of the best-kept secrets in the graphics business and we are delighted to be offering its range of products to the South African market," says Graeme Frielick, graphics product manager at AXiZ. "Gainward is the biggest producer of graphics accelerators in Taiwan and is among the top five worldwide. With 16 years experience in this business, we have complete confidence in this offering."

The CARDEXpert range is comprehensive, covering options from 4MB PCI to 32MB Geforce. Chipsets are mainly from nVidia, S3, 3D Labs and SiS.

AXiZ, a Diamond distributor, has taken the Gainward products on board to fill the space left by S3`s decision in August to shut down its Diamond Multimedia-branded graphics add-in board business.

"There is a definite requirement in the market for the add-in card business and our customers were asking for these types of cards," says Frielick. "We look forward to a fruitful relationship with Gainward."
