A range of high-performance CD and DVD disc publishers, manufactured by Primera of Minnesota in the US, is now available to South African businesses through Square One Solutions Group, a JSE-listed company focused on IT-based business solutions and the distribution of printers and other specialised office equipment.
The range-topping Primera BravoPro automatically burns and prints up to 100 CDs or DVDs at a time in a compact, attractive unit. "This unit combines two high-speed CD-R or DVD+R drives for volume production while setting new standards for quality, speed and reliability," says Square One channel manager, Philippa Dal Medico.
It also provides 4 800dpi resolution direct to disc printing that achieves eye-catching high-quality graphics, company branding and photographic and text reproduction on the labels. Networking software is standard, enabling the unit to be shared among multiple users in workgroup office environments.
"The software interface is wizard-driven, user-friendly and guides users through each step of the process," adds Dal Medico. "This helps to achieve rapid and simple production, with the BravoPro capable of burning, printing and transporting up to 50 discs an hour."
The unit caters for a selection of media, working with not only standard 120mm discs but also the popular business card-shaped and mini discs through an optional media adapter kit. The unit also comes with class-leading and robust CD/DVD mastering and duplication software from Sonic. CharisMac software is also available for companies using Mac systems, and a software developers' kit (SDK) is available for customised applications.
Other options in the Primera range include the Bravo SE which will burn and print up to 20 discs per job, and the Bravo II which caters for 50 discs per job.
