HP`s new xp8000 Digital Projector series now offers South African companies remote management, wireless functionality and dual colour wheels, all enabled through a standard network connection.
Distributed to the South African marketplace by Rectron, the xp8000 offers enhanced brightness, vibrant colours and a choice of lenses that improves and simplifies the projecting process.
Explains Zandr'e Rudolph, HP product manager at Rectron: "One of the key features of the xp8000 is that it enables users to present wirelessly from a PC or Pocket PC via the network or directly from a Compact Flash memory card."
HP`s compression technology also cuts the delay usually associated with wireless technologies. No lag time means that presentations run uninterrupted and smoothly.
Importantly, an automatic e-mail alert activated as soon as the projector is removed from the network or power, therefore, offering critical protection it against potential theft.
Rudolph also adds that all data content is also protected by an enhanced-security wireless protocol.
With the xp8000`s remote access management software (via the network connection) users can remotely manage their projectors over the network, adjust settings, receive automatic warnings, set passwords and update firmware.
The xp8000 can be mounted on a ceiling - for a more long-term installation, tripod or just placed on a tabletop.
