New LG Flatron trio launched in SA

Johannesburg, 16 Jul 2003

Global digital leader, LG Electronics has added three new monitors to its award-winning Flatron range in SA. Joining its class-leading LCD range, the L1510P, L1710B and L1810P LCD screens further boost the Korean giant`s market leading range.

"This LCD monitor trio adds greater choice to the wide range of LG monitors already available in the region," said Johann van Wyk, divisional manager of IT Products at LG Electronics South Africa.

"Each has its own distinct style, features and characteristics complimenting the respective size category it represents."

The 15-inch LCD L1510P monitor features LG`s award-winning slim bezel ergonomic design, a maximum resolution of 1024 x 768 and built-in multimedia speakers. Suitable for wall mounting with VESA compliant interface pad, the monitor is appropriate for all office and home applications, ranging from accessing the Internet to video conferencing.

The 17-inch L1710B and 18-inch L1810P monitors are of slim bezel design with swivel base-plates that enable the screen to be turned through 360^0. The monitors` TFT panels feature anti-glare coating with a tilt range of 5^0 to 30^0 and wide viewing angles. The L1810P has inbuilt multimedia speakers and USB ports.

"All three of the new screens benefit from LG`s Flatron technology which have so far reaped over 30 international awards," said Van Wyk.

"LG Electronics plans to launch more models in its Flatron range very soon, further establishing its leadership position in SA."

LG is the champion of monitor sales throughout Africa and the Middle East. Last year, LG`s regional monitor performance rose 24.4% to $133 million.
