New Minolta copier range offers complete printing, scanning, faxing solution

Johannesburg, 30 Aug 2001

As the networked environment becomes more commonplace in today`s corporate and SME business arenas and, similarly, as the demand for a combination of electronic and printed information in the office increases, multi-functional devices - capable of the integrated document management of mixed information - are growing in popularity.

"In fact, the expansion of computer networks in most business environments combined with the convergence of digital technology, has seen copiers become an integral component of the office IT infrastructure - serving both as a copier and a network printer," says Paul Symonds, Minolta`s copier division product manager.

It is with this in mind that Minolta introduces the new DiALTA Di351/Di251 multi-functional copier series with facsimile (Di351f and Di251f) as well as optional network printer and scanner functions.

Delivering 35 and 25 copies per minute respectively and offering 600dpi fine line and halftone reproduction, both machines incorporate a wingless design that includes inner type options for a compact body and optional finishers for increased productivity and efficiency.

Further, with the optional printer controller Pi3502, the series can be used as PCL 5e, PCL 6 or PostScript 3 network printers and scanners. Scanned images can be e-mailed or sent to FTP servers, and the URL can also be e-mailed simultaneously to related users.

The Di351f/Di251f models offer a host of state-of-the-art fax functions, including a Super G3 Mode with JBIG Compression for high-speed transmission, two-in-one transmission and Duplex transmission.

"The Di351/Di251 series` multitude of quality digital imaging features definitely makes them the ultimate in convenient and efficient office document machines," concludes Symonds.
