Following the acquisition of Global Technology Business Intelligence (GBI) by the EOH Group in January 2005, GBI is unveiling a new identity on March 1, 2005, and finally closing the chapter on its association with the Global Technology Group.
The rebranded entity, Intellient, will extend its focus on providing business performance management (BPM) and business intelligence (BI) solutions that support performance management and improved decision-making throughout the organisation, through the creation of "intelligent enterprises". "The name Intellient is a melding of the words `intelligent` and `enterprise`, and is representative of the environments we want to enable, and the relationships we want to engender, with our clients," says Marc Scheepbouwer, MD of Intellient. "There is a point that clients reach where their growth begins to rely on dependable business intelligence and effective business performance management; partnering with Intellient will facilitate continued growth through the implementation of the right tools, applications and solutions that enable enterprise-wide intelligence."
As a provider of BI and BPM solutions, Intellient offers comprehensive support for the entire management cycle, delivering data platform and integration services, query and reporting, data analysis, performance scorecarding, modelling, budgeting, planning, activity-based costing, forecasting, and financial consolidation and reporting.
Intellient retains its local distribution rights for Hyperion and Armstrong-Laing (ALG) solutions, and its reseller status of Ascential Software products. "EOH acquired GBI because its software and service offerings in the BPM arena complement the EOH offerings; and its blue chip customer base and strong team of professionals will bring additional value to its new parent company," says Asher Bohbot, EOH`s CEO.
As a business and technology solutions provider, EOH provides consulting and outsourcing services that range from strategic and business process consulting to maintenance and support of clients` IT infrastructure and applications. It also offers technology solutions such as enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, business performance management and business intelligence.
The new logo consists of two "I"s, one inverted over the other. This juxtaposition was created to represent Intellient`s synergistic collaboration with its clients, where the whole is equal to more than the sum of its individual parts.
The gentle upward curve of the design is indicative of growth that results from the partnership between Intellient and the customer.
"The new name and insignia represents the business intelligence process that begins with the setting of goals and strategies, and that is managed intelligently through to execution," Scheepbouwer says. "With the right solutions in place, companies can evaluate their performance, analyse outcomes, perform scenario creation and plan strategically, all with the aim of moving intelligently towards success."
Intellient provides BI solutions which include comprehensive support to the entire management cycle, delivering data platform and integration services, query and reporting, data analysis, performance scorecarding, modelling, budgeting, planning, activity-based costing and management, forecasting and financial consolidation and reporting. When these solutions are used in collaboration, they contribute towards improved organisational growth and profitability, and form a framework of BPM software solutions. Intellient is the local distributor of Hyperion and ALG Software. These solutions are used by 85 leading South African companies, including 20 of the top 25 public companies. Intellient is a member of the EOH (Enterprise Outsourcing Holdings) group of companies.
