Extending the success it achieved with the C7000 range of colour laser printers, Printacom has announced the local availability of the Oki C7350 printers, offering increases in performance, quality, functionality and reliability.
Consisting of three new models, the C7350 will replace the C7300 and C7500 series. "By introducing the new units, we`re maintaining our commitment to provide customers with the best available technology and product performance," says Neil Rom, managing director of Printacom.
The three new models comprise the C7350n, C7350dn and C7350hdn. The C7350n comes with a network card, while the C7350dn is standard with duplex and network communication. The C7350hdn model includes duplex, network, extra paper trays and a cabinet with paper capacity for 1 160 sheets.
Print speeds have been increased to 24ppm colour and 26ppm monochrome, an improvement on the previous C7300 series. Print resolution stays the same at 1 200 x 600dpi.
"The increase in print speed and quality is, to a great degree, a result of a speed increase in the print processors from 450MHz to 500MHz," Rom says.
Other improvements include an increase in hard disk capacity from 10GB to 20GB, delivering the ability to print more complex jobs.
The new printers also benefit from a USB 2.0 interface, over the previous USB 1.1 interface, making for speedier connectivity between the host computer and printer.
"The C7350 series has been developed with the sixth generation of digital LED and single-pass colour technologies which Oki pioneered," Rom explains.
"These technologies allow Oki to manufacture printers that require fewer moving parts and which enable more efficient operation than competitive printers, allowing for faster print speeds, lower total cost of ownership, and higher reliability over the life of the printers," he concludes.
The Oki C7350 series printers are immediately available through Oki solutions provider partners.
